Other ways to find out what’s your name in Russian

Another simple way to find out how to write your name in Russian letters is to use Google Translate. It is not always correct, but in the options underneath the main answer you will most probably find the correct one.

You can also try to find a Cyrillic letter that corresponds to the pronunciation of your Russian name (see Russian alphabet to English). For example, if your name is Oscar, it will be very easy:

O for O
C for S
K for C
A for A
Р for R

But this method does not work all the time as sometimes Russian language has its own verions of the name. One of these examples is the name Michael which it Russian would be Михаил [mee-kha-éel].
